Hi, my name is Janice Johnson (aka…Jan, Miss Jan, Momma Jan) and I was born and raised here in the Chattanooga area, moved to Virginia for a short time and returned to the Soddy Daisy area several years ago. I am married and have 2 daughters. I cheered many years ago at my high school (back before tumbling and competing was required). My girls are the reason that I became involved in the world of allstar cheer and dance. My oldest daughter, Amanda, danced for United Cheerleading for a few years and during that time my youngest daughter, Breanne, became interested in cheerleading. She started her all-star career at United Cheerleading in the 2nd grade and continued competing with all star teams, middle school and high school teams until graduation. During our time at United, I became very involved as a team mom and eventually moved into an office support role and began assisting with the all-star program. I worked in the office for over 7 years at United Cheerleading. I came on board with RAH! Spirit a little over a year ago and love being apart of this terrific group of instructors and staff.
Even though my time is spent in the office scheduling classes, answering questions and taking payments, it is so great to see the excitement among the kids when they master a new skill or win at competition. I love cheerleading and feel that the children do gain various life skills from participating as part of a team. I have seen all-star cheerleading evolve into the great sport that it is today over the past 12 years. The stunts and the skill level being displayed by so many is absolutely amazing. So many things have changed but one thing remains the same…determination to be the best at what you do.
